Semi-Coke also called Lantan, is made by burning up the good quality Jurassic coal. The color appears light black and the size of particles is generally more than 3mm. As the semi-coke has features of high fixed carbon, high resistance, high chemical activity, low ash, low aluminum, low Sulphur and low phosphorus, it can be applied instead of metallurgical coke and can be used in production of calcium carbide, Ferroalloys, Ferrosilicon, silicon carbide, silicon manganese, fertilizer and etc. Semi-coke is widely used in chemical, metallurgical, smelting, and gas making industries.
